To build a monument that manifests in itself the many faces of time is something that can be achieved only by a profound poetic density. Therefore, we are aroused here by two millennial human traditions. First, the conquer of territory, like ancient civilizations, making us elect a strategic site to inaugurate a place and emerge a construction in this landscape of stunning natural beauty. After that, the production of wine, understanding this building as a temple of the symbolic ritual that transits between gods and humans of transforming grapes into beverages. Architecture and Wine guide us to the manifestation of the natural cycle of things, of phenomenon, of order, as well as to the experience of our senses, memories and allegories. The winery is anchored on the 1.300 elevation – highest point of the property – permeated by mountains of abundant Atlantic Forest, and floats over this promontory for contemplation of horizons incrusting itself in the ground to assure adequate light and temperature for the wine to rest. In its interior, patios and viewpoints bring us to the air, pathways and rooms into the earth, light and shadows to the spectacle of time. The classic arches and domes are revisited in this construction made of earth traditions (ceramic bricks) and the modernity of stone (reinforced concrete). An architecture of atemporal meaning that, through the solidity of its matter, resignifies history in a perennial presence capable of transmitting, for generations, values sensibly encrusted in its walls.
